University of Advancing Technology's (UAT) Summer 2026 Student Innovation Project (SIP) Showcase gave 31 students the chance to present their work to the UAT community. From ambitious prototypes to polished builds, each project reflected the creativity, technical skill, and problem-solving that UAT students bring to their craft. In this recap, we're highlighting the standout projects from this year's showcase, the winners, and the innovation on full display.
Ultrasonic Alarm Clock, Levi Terry
A user specific method of alerting users with the use of an ultrasound speaker to direct the alarm towards one person. Solving the problem of two people on different schedules sharing the same sleeping space so the alarm only wakes one of them.
Sprinkler, Michael Garcia
A 3D printed fire sprinkler made with a plug made to fail consistently at a certain temperature that will trigger the system to let water out to put out the fire.
RadSurvey, Ethan Hartman
A mobile android application designed to help radiation survey create, use and preserve, survey maps digitally. It lets users start with a clean template, mark survey points on the map record, readings and notes, and save the completed work as a permanent survey record.
SureSight, Trinity Ison
An interior door projection display. A computer and projector connected to a camera on the door. The projector displays what is on the camera on the inside of the door, allowing the user to see who is at the door without relying on a handheld device or approaching the door.
Per Mobile Cover System (PMCS), Justice McNeeley
Custom wheelchair joystick display cover, designed for power wheelchair users that blocks screen glare in dark environments.
Walk-up Alarm, Joseph Remp
A low cost walker that is made to alert its user both physically with vibrations and audibly with an alarm that they are about to run into something. This walker is cost effective, easy to use and helpful.
Phish Guardian, Vaughn Videtic WINNER VIEWERS CHOICE & WORLD CHANGER
An interactive Cybersecurity web based learning platform for children ages 8-12 to teach them about phishing and how to identify the malicious link or email.
New M2408 Discriminator\, Wesston Dana
A redesigned feed tray that incorporates a built-in discriminator that improves blank ammunition alignment during feeding. By integrating the discriminator directly into the feed tray, the system has fewer external components while improving reliability during blank-fire training.
Verichain, Meier Johnson
A blockchain based evidence tracker, it makes tampering with evidence tracking mathematically detectable, not just procedurally discouraged
Safe Wings Window Decals, Amara Hill
A website for customizable window decals created to help birds identify a window as a solid object and not something they can fly though.
Color Purple, David Shamas
An application that gives patients a clear place to log their Alzheimer’s or dementia results and turn their clinicians recommendations into daily habits. This application does not take the place of a doctor nor does it diagnose anyone.
Ei Mix, Eric Amoh Adjei
An AI Powered Entertainment Assistant, that turns simple prompts into personalized audio experiences.
CodeFit_AI, Fernando Trejo
An online coding tutor that gives you an honest read on if coding is a fit for you and then teaches you lessons and tracks your progress.
Synth-a-Sketch, Blythe Gross & Talon Maier
A game that shows synesthesia, specifically associating colors with sound through a fun platforming game.
Mystic Decorator, Noah Gilleland
A multi-themed room decorator offering full freedom to the player and developers for a wider range of creative freedom, diversifying the project from other decorators.
F(AR)MING, Taylor Henson
A game that uses augmented reality to make agriculture education interactive.
Dream Me!, Kerri Flink
A web-based photo editing application that allows you to quickly create themed photos. Instead of using complicated and expensive editing software, you can create your own festive photo in just a few steps.
A Clockwork Heart, S. Alex Marrero
A virtual reality experience that integrates the emotional state of the game’s characters directly into core gameplay mechanics. Rather than treating emotion as a narrative element alone, the players actions dynamically alter the worlds atmosphere, environment and available abilities allowing emotional themes to expand gameplay systems and improving interactive part of the gameplay.
Glimpses in Time, Elizabeth Rothenberg
Aims to be the first stepping stone to educate players about ancient animals and remind people that these animals are just that, animals rather than monsters.
AllArt Sketchbook, Christopher Starzinsky WINNER MOST MARKET VIABLE
A sketchbook created for all art mediums so artists don’t have to buy different sketchbooks for the different mediums they work with. This sketchbook is accompanied by a website. The artists can draw in the book, scan the QR code, take a picture of their art and upload it to the website where they then can digitally edit their art.
EyeConic, Eli Mercado INGENUITY PRIZE WINNER
A top down puzzle solving game that is built around eye tracking as the main controller of the game. Gamifying eye exercises that is fun but also promotes better eye health.
Narrative Puzzles, Domnik Amado-Tramondo
A game where the goal is to signify the changes you make can often lead to changes in the environment.
El Awakened, Trey Bialock
A 2D game, with 3D levels, that you will have to navigate and solve puzzles. But the real innovation here is the added 4th dimension of time manipulation across both the 2D and the third dimensions of the game.
Material MANIC!, Zachary Christman
A game allowing you to find your own solutions to puzzles by altering the world around you.
Audi-O Jack, Necolai Mcintosh WINNER BEST IN SHOW & BEST SIP PITCH
Audi-o-jacks main mechanic is a metronome, which the player uses to time their inputs. The game doesn’t force you to act on beat, but allows you to use the offbeat timing to move the player in another way.
Split Shift, Michael Mosby
A single player prototype that explores the idea that when a player has two characters and switches between them, the character that is paused
Chronicles of the Six Sages, Morgan Spooner
Turn based JRPG with real time elements, focusing on figuring out enemy attack patterns with DMC styled rank system
Multiverse Time Travel Game, Ivan Sanchez
A turn based game where you travel into your previous turns to create alternate timelines.
Textured Asymmetric Buffered Texturing, Jonathan Alvarenga
An Asymetric dual screen co-op horror game.
Musical Aberration, Aiden Schagren
Rather than music following the world, the world follows the music the player crafts via sounds in the environment.Allowing for a visual as well as gameplay influence difference with each type of track that is created.
AI.Navigator, Kennedee Cameron
A website designed to make marketing transparent about AI use and teaching people about different AI tools.
